Mermaid musing

It’s a feeling.

Secrets of happiness

Are in walking barefoot

At the beach and watching a sunset.

Also, sharing

Dark chocolate

If you do not have sea grapes around 

For the bound.

Secrets of happiness

It’s in bliss.

Little blessings

Like acts of kindness.

Hopefully, mermaid’s musings 

Are on the summer bucket list.

Perfect combo is missing

Wine or a cocktail spitz

And walking on the beach 

Are special simple things,

Therapeutic and calming.

Forgot to tell…until it’s

A chocolate Labrador.

The stillness is not laziness,

Not because you are weak

Because you have been strong

For a time too long

You need the beach walk

And the ocean’s talk

For healing and rest

To bring in your summer best.
