Down and Dusk: Poem

Down and Dusk

I dreamt the dark into the light

When I cannot sleep, I fight

Until the morning sun takes flight.

Panting at sunset is a treasured time.

Jogging at the sunrise makes my body fine.

Sundown highlights the horizon

On the sun path at my time zone.

Duration between gifted me twilight

Interface with wildlife.

Down and dusk,

And repeat navigation,

Outdoor activities and stargazing.

Down and dusk,

I have walked before.

But now I am alone

With a heart of stone,

I know

Dusk and down,

And me alone in town.
