Good Memories with Good Friends

The ITT Tech TechFest fair was pure display of student talents. The Engineering Club lead by support of Mr. Christopher Obioha, Chair of the Electronic Engineering, who was true moving instrumental power man behind the student creative projects that confidently used the Logical Programming Controllers (LPC) or Raspberry Pie, remote controlled robot hands, cars, drones; oil fracking demonstrations, smart housing features, etc. The wild imagination of students’ presentation to rediscover Mars settlements were out of the planet Earth abilities.

The Engineering Club in conjunction with Medical Assistant student and a Gold Star Wife, Martha Hernandez-Trenzado motivated the entire school to collect non-perishable food to feed the misfortunate families and support the Christian Mission Rescue in Miami. We needed a truck to ship boxes of food and clothes. Every September, students- faculty body hold a Back-to-School Drive and collected school supplies and school backpacks for less fortunate students in the neighborhood.

Today, Martha Hernandez-Trenzado obtained her Bachelor in Business Administration degree and a Master’s in Health Administration. With Martha’s determination, she is ready for her PhD degree.

The story of non-traditional student of ITT Tech Nancy Gaspard speaks loud for itself.

Nancy Gaspard was an ex-work-study in the Library at the ITT Tech at the Miami Garden.

A hard-working mother of two children graduated from the Nursing program and one of the first of her class passed her board exam to practice the Register Nurse occupation. As a Registered Nurse at North Shore Medical Center, Nancy Gaspard was recognized not once, but twice for striving to make a difference one patient at a time. This nomination is a testament to her hard work. She received the Daisy Award for her compassion and kindness. Nancy is always willing to help a team member in need. (Miami Times, October 10, 2019) She sets an example for her team members, and she is an inspiration to all the staff as evidenced by returning patients who request her care. Besides, Nancy Gaspard is an inspiration for the Nursing students who study hard and sacrificing on behalf of their future career successes.

The ITT Technical Institute had a small-size Learning Resources Center (LRC) and a very rich ITT Tech Virtual Library of digital resources.
