Magnolia: Poem

Magnolia

Magnolia, Magnolia,

Mine Antonia,

You gave me a lot of trivia.

Magnolia is not a utopia.

It has a beautiful regalia

And it has a lot of data

In the portfolio.

The southern tree is large, and sweet

And this could be met and see

On an exotic trip.

Drive through Florida and Hispaniola,

From Pensacola to Osceola

And enjoy the tree with stamina,

Big, old, and tall,

Named Magnolia.

Magnolia is not a Camellia

Or northern flowered Azealia.

It does not need bees

And these are the keys

To unusual pollination

Of the botanical nation

Of trees and plants.

It lives in peace

With ancient beetles

And other crickets

From ancient Leviticus time,

Old as the biblical kind.

Gather together

Like the beetle does,

Multiply like the locust.

Magnolia knows how to forecast,

And I will podcast –

Magnolia flowering and blessed

From above

With the God’s love.
