Tips for Cold Weather

People say, better to be overdressed then under dressed, very true. Its works on a winter day: warm and ready for work and play. Then comes the question: which fabrics are the warmest? The answer includes cotton, merino wool, cable-knit wool, cashmere together with leather and fur.

Rule number two, when temperatures are dropping, and holiday decorations go up (squeal!), not only our wardrobe sees some changes. Thanks to the cold and dry weather of the season, we find that our makeup routines are also in need of some slight alterations and substitutions. So, grab a warm drink, and read our tips on how to cosmetically combat the cold seasons like a pro. Fortunately, winter beauty issues like dry skin, chapped lips, dry, frizzy hair could be fixed with winter cosmetics:
  • ·         With cold weather comes dry skin, and therefore women reach for products that will maintain a soft moist glow. Switching from powder to cream blush is an easy way to nail a soft, youthful look.
  • ·         Priming the skin before foundation will keep it moisturized longer, which is key for flawless and glowing skin.
  • ·         Even though the sun might not be visible, using the SPF will help to protect from sun damage and aging, as this is a year-round commitment.
  • ·         If on the go, it is a good idea to swap lip stains for more hydrating lip formula. It is the easiest way to combat those perennially chapped winter lips, and enjoy the color everybody is loving.

Chill Airs and Wintry Winds!

On a cold winter day, the ears ready for the sounds of winter music: listen and hear.  And this is not enough then open your mouth and slowly get out the warm air from your breath – you will see the steam disappearing in the air around you. Always health and safety awareness first. The usual winter fashion accessories keep the body and mind wrapped with functionality and comfort from head to toes. Rule number one: when it’s cold – bundle up. Pull out the sweaters, floppy socks, funny hats, a standout scarf, and gloves. The proper winter underwear, warm hands and feet, and winter headgear are serving humans good in winter seasons. As one wise young woman said, the best part of the cold weather is a perfect opening time to wear the boots. Especially, if someone is from the South. Texas is the capital of boot trends. Which Texan girl does not have a pair of cowboy’s boots, blue jeans and Bibles? Texas tradition survived the nineteenth and twentieth century; and today, the cute outfit’s possibilities with boots are endless and this should give plenty of outfit inspirations for the fall and winter seasons from agricultural country areas to big cities, and Fashion week runways.

“Chill airs and wintry winds! My ear

Has grown familiar with your song;

I hear it in opening year,

I listen, and it cheers me long.”

(Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)
