Personification: Poem
I.
Once, a young stream
Had asked the old river
A question of personal extreme:
How to reach
The running sea? –
The river said, it is not easy
For a tiny human body.
It takes a thorny way
To complete the journey,
To stay on course
With a personal compass
As liquids flow freely
Inside and through us
To pass.
II.
Life’s first form
As a single cell
Observed the oxygen
Excreted the carbon waist
From metabolism and salty tears
Back into Earth’s waters.
It is a lifecycle’s pathway accessibility
That runs with wise suitability.
The sweat, the blood, and happy swimmers
Make up my body of water and liquids.
Every river becomes an ocean
As my tiny body grows
By letting go
Tears as salty as ocean.
III.
The body’s river
Has an old-aged mirror
Leading to the Earth’s water.
Through time, the link becomes
A blue sea too.
