Dangerous Rhythms: Poem

Dangerous Rhythms: Poem
Astronomical summer
In the Northern Hemisphere
Gifts us with the longest daylight
Of the best season of the year
And dangerous rhythms in my ear.
I cannot get enough of the wild air.
My soul is blooming in the sunshine
Of the wet, briny air.
No fair to bear
As midsummer is very clear –
Today we celebrate daylights
And dangerous rhythms
As the Sun reaches
The highest, longer path
Across the sky of the equator’s edge,
From pagan ceremonies at Stonehenge
To midsummer dances at the Baltic Sea.
At the Scandinavia, we honor the Sun
And celebrate celestial nature’s fun
At Earth’s graceful adventure.
We try the dangerous rhythm
Of solstice summer mature
At the Earth’s axal tilt
That lean towards the Sun.
The dangerous rhythm
Makes the Arctic Daylight last
The entire twenty-four hours
Intact.
