Pride and Softness: Essay
“And still, after all this time, the Sun was never said to
Earth, You Own Me. Look what happens with love like this. It lights up
the sky. (Rumi) It is beautifully said. Cheers to the love without ownership.
What I mean, I am prizing pride and softness.
When new love comes it has pride and grace, confidence and
joy. If you embrace and engage in the conversation, share the time, thoughts,
and emotions, it contributes to a new friendship dance of words, willingness to
share the memory stacks as we look at the back. It creates love without
ownership, with natural pride and self-worth. Pride guards the heart with a
key.
Also, pride makes you stand up, and get higher, far enough,
to observe from above, look up to the high sky, and follow the birds. Pride
makes you disciplined, focused, and hardworking.
Pride could be ignorant, self-centered, but also a sign of surviving
and self-preservation. We need pride in staying on the course and keeping going
even if life offers you detours.
Softness could exist out of pride. Let me say, softness is
a child of pride. When pride loses the keys which are guarding the heart, softness
comes and opens the doors for joy and happiness, laughter and hope. Softness is
a common side of a feminine heart. It attracts the strongest men, longing for
softness and kindness. Softness also has grace to dance, softness is a story to
read, to learn, and to dream. Softness lets the spirit go, lifts the scares and
enjoys the moments, the words, and a squeeze of the waiting hand. Softness does
both take and give. She learned it from mother-pride. Softness has a lot to
offer, flexible and reacted.
When daylight comes and the sundown shines, pride and softness
awoke to rule, to make everything cool.
