Pink Dahlia

Is a woman’s name

Delicate as summer flowers.

Dalia is the Gardner’s

Late success

That makes summer’s

Gardner’s to skip the heartbeat.

Dahlia placed here to feed

With lasting impression

And body expression –

Very real, natural,

And full of rosy passion.

Pink Dahlia

Is shy, fresh, and young

As sweet sixteenth

Are the best of all teens.

Dahlia, Dahlia

Gorgeous enough

To make the Gardner laugh.

A delicate flower blame

With a sweet woman's name

That did not ask for fame
