Train Station: Poem
I.
Ordinary train stations –
Tickets and schedules
To any routes and destinations.
People who choose
A railway train station
Has a nostalgic description.
II.
Here she stands
To say last goodbyes.
Her eyes are focused on large clock.
Tick-tock, tick-tock.
Time always flies.
She will be alone
Waiting for a call-phone
For a letter written to home.
She does not say a word,
O’ Lord!
She knows to be alone,
Could be an unknown.
But the mind does not go along.
Her thoughts belong
To the century old train station:
People who go and people who stay.
People who wave
And people who move on.
III.
The last word spoken.
The final strong snug-hug,
And air kisses exchanged in the air.
Memories will hunt
The train station in the dream.
Perhaps it was a tear or few
But both me and you
Are strong like a folklore song.
The lifelong melody is in the backbone
In the arms of the old home
Where you had been born.
