The Traveler
Traveling
on foot, by plane or train, by boat or by car would be pointless if we stopped
feeding ourselves in mornings, working during the day and sleeping at night. What
if we stop imagining and dreaming? We are surrounded by nature and time on our
beautiful planet Earth. Each season brings joy and happiness. We need beauty
and peace – a gracious palm tree, the scent of the pine tree, and the strong
oak tree. We admire the green leaves through the medium of poetry and stories.
We need fairytales.
There
are many reasons to travel. And we always return home after traveling far and
near. The lyric of the popular song says: “green, green grass at home,”
which is always better. If we have a good book, all we need is a bench in
the shadow of a tree and a breeze of the wind on a hot summer day.
Creativity
and imagination will bring us travel far and near. It takes a long journey for
the young stream to reach the sea, and we must stay on course. What I mean is
that liquids flow freely inside and through my body. My sweat, my blood, and my
salty tears become the rives and every river becomes an ocean. As a traveler, I
grew up with time and do not want to let it go. Little girl’s dreams never die.
Just
like river's winds and curves that are traveling to destination point to the
sea, our traveler's pathway eventually finds peace and satisfaction in the flow
of the process. Living is a process not a destination. For me living means to
find unity between mind and body and harmony between heart and soul. How to get
there? Perhaps on foot and by boat, taking in the sun, the air, the wind and
beautiful surroundings. Also, by reading, using fancy resourcefulness and
writing it down in ink on paper.
