Tips for Cold Weather

People say, better to be overdressed then under dressed, very true. Its works on a winter day: warm and ready for work and play. Then comes the question: which fabrics are the warmest? The answer includes cotton, merino wool, cable-knit wool, cashmere together with leather and fur.

Rule number two, when temperatures are dropping, and holiday decorations go up (squeal!), not only our wardrobe sees some changes. Thanks to the cold and dry weather of the season, we find that our makeup routines are also in need of some slight alterations and substitutions. So, grab a warm drink, and read our tips on how to cosmetically combat the cold seasons like a pro. Fortunately, winter beauty issues like dry skin, chapped lips, dry, frizzy hair could be fixed with winter cosmetics:
  • ·         With cold weather comes dry skin, and therefore women reach for products that will maintain a soft moist glow. Switching from powder to cream blush is an easy way to nail a soft, youthful look.
  • ·         Priming the skin before foundation will keep it moisturized longer, which is key for flawless and glowing skin.
  • ·         Even though the sun might not be visible, using the SPF will help to protect from sun damage and aging, as this is a year-round commitment.
  • ·         If on the go, it is a good idea to swap lip stains for more hydrating lip formula. It is the easiest way to combat those perennially chapped winter lips, and enjoy the color everybody is loving.
