I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox
and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast
forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

Winter Trees
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.

Happy 2014 New Year!
moves gently among

Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.
