"A Palm Tree:" Poem
The palm tree
Officially is not a tree.
The nominee
A palm tree is a shrub.
The majority
Came to my yard
From gloomy rainforests
To comfort my rest.
Perhaps they never saw the sun.
Perhaps the habits of the palm -
The height,
The light,
The trunk.
The fan,
The fun,
The palm.
Perhaps this is why
I say to my palm: "Hi!"
