Eager: Poem

 

Eager

The sun is sleeping in

This morning, as I was keen.

The sun just now is picking,

Over the covers,

To greet the new day.

Breakfast with an ocean view

Is coming, and this is true.

Imagination just found you

Like a true friend helps

To find your wings. –

I write on paper with ink.

I know that I am not a machine.

Human soul needs

Imagination and connection,

Drafter, laughter, and expression.

I try to create soul medicine.

Enjoy the journey,

Trust the process

When keep moving forward.

On this note,

I will introduce you to a version

Of myself, you did not meet yet.

Educated, confident, and stubborn –

Made and born

In twentieth century,

Look on life with joy of the journey

And keep moving forward.

Eager to keep the promised word.
