Favorite Season: Poem

Favorite Season

My favorite season

When all mosquitoes

Are dead.

Put your light jackets

And carry on.

Meantime, spiders and snakes

Are not dead,

Just sleep and hibernate.

They are not dead.

They will be back.

Bugs and humidity

Are gone,

Just remember with dignity –

They never disappear

Forever.

My favorite season

When yellow flowers

Or rabbit brush turns

In a lovely shadow

Of dignity dirty crimson.

She, He, and Time: Poem

 She, He, and Time

She was distracted by birds,

And comforted by trees!

She was fascinated by moon

And happy like a fool

In the great outdoors.

You may ask, “What for?”

I answer, “In many forms.”

“I hope you know

How brave and wonderful,

Important and beautiful

You always are,

Even on the days

You do not feel like it,

I want to send you a retreat!”

Her heart thought what if

He stays with me through every season

As time forgets

That we were strangers once.
