At the
Feeder
Every forest we bring back
Cools the land
And protects the water
To build tomorrow better.
I watched how birds bow
And throw
A tantrum at the feeder.
Tufted titmouse is sweet and feisty.
The chirping sparrow
Was bold brave,
And full of sparks
With an attitude of the hawks.
Morning dove kept the bill in the water
Like using a straw
With suction-like drinking method.
There are backyard secrets
Kept in floppy feathers –
Because clean water matters.
