Perception: Essay

Perception

Life is all about perception. The older you get, the easier and more important it is to be present in the moment. Why? Because you realize your future has become limited.

I trace the shape of the past into spaces where the laughter used to linger. Memories create stories. Adding to the story a personal touch creates a unique perception. Every story reflects individual thoughts, emotions, and feelings. It takes courage and bravery to share with others.

Living in a moment means to be present in place and time. I am blessed to be surrounded by truly wonderful places. Time runs too fast; this is my perception. I think that nothing in nature lives for itself. Rivers do not drink their own water. Threes do not eat their own fruit. The sun does not shine for itself. Flowers do not spread beauty and fragrance for themselves. Living and giving comes from nature.

Writing poems delves into how the personal perception sees and interprets the world. Human experience shapes our reality sometimes through symbolism and imagination like adding strokes of paint with words. Telling how to interpret our surroundings and experiences in a powerful medium exploration services the perception to reality.
