Last Day of January

I.

Last day of January

Reminds us

On the first day of February,

Nature has a funny pass;

Reminding us to relax, breathe,

And appreciate the moment;

Snowy trees, cool air,

And canceled flights.

Quiet backdrop beats

Any screentime

To see natural trees

In the winter habitat.

II.

The cold of January

Can freeze the February.

Only warmth always

Come after the frost.

The sun will rise

Above the homes and hearts.

Spring never fails us!

The cold blanket is dull and bare

From the dormancy of winter,

So clear.

III.

The best place for today

To enjoy the safe and warm home.

It is wise to slow down

And appreciate challenges,

When huddles and cuddles

Are welcome again.

Spring will be here,

Before you know it.

IV.

Baby, it is cold outside.

Please stay until tomorrow.

Just saying, Valentine’s Day,

Is not cancelled,

As well as blessings,

And joyful surprises

For all of us.
