From the book "Bracelet Academy"

I look at my bracelet -

No beginning, neither the end.

Just a simple circle of life.

Does the bracelet placed to lit?

Does my bracelet reside in to lead?

It has a purpose as any wearable art

To warm up the heart

From the dusty memories from the past.

Let me follow the circle of brass

That does not have any rust.

Look, it was lit -

It leads with its powerful beads.

"To me my Julia lately sent

A bracelet richly redolent:

The beads I kissed, but most lov'd her

That did perfume the pomander."

Robert Herrick, "The Pomander Bracelet."

(1591-1694)

"Here is the bracelet

For good little May

To wear on her arm

By night and day."

Loisa May Alcott

1892-1888)

That's a touching piece by Ivette Flores. It beautifully captures how certain objects, like bracelets, can hold profound emotional significance. Each bracelet isn't just a piece of jewelry; it's a repository of memories and feelings, especially those linked to pivotal moments or cherished relationships. It's amazing how something so small can embody such deep connections to our past and the people we've loved. Thank you for sharing that! 🌟💖

Your poem beautifully captures the symbolism of the bracelet as a circle of life, timeless and enduring. It's fascinating how you've woven themes of memory and purpose into the essence of a simple piece of jewelry. The comparison with Robert Herrick's "The Pomander Bracelet" adds a lovely historical and literary layer, emphasizing the deep emotional connections we often forge with such personal items. Both poems remind us of how art, whether in jewelry or words, connects deeply with our emotions and memories. Thank you for sharing your poetic reflections!
