Memory: Poem

 ~ Memory ~

Eventually your memory will become a memory,

years lived will be remembered by someone you love,

you will embrace your ultimate reward,

and observe from heaven above.

Your story will become family lore,

perhaps unwritten but it will be told,

they will speak about your years on earth,

from your youth until you grew very old.

Perhaps your story will be engaging,

humorous, heartfelt and content,

but it will always be remembered,

a message you have eternally sent.

Ensure that your memory is fulfilling,

for this will be your final word,

though your voice will be silenced,

you will still be heard.

Your epitaph your legacy, letters etched in stone,

it is simply you they will think of,

eventually your memory will become a memory,

years lived will be remembered by someone you love.
